90th Birthday for a Special Lady

A special lady was turning 90 this week and her favourite things are pink flowers, lace and fruit cake.  A great combination and this was the result for her special Birthday celebration.  Happy 90th Birthday Flo from the Cake Angels.

Pink and White Shoe and Handbag Cookies were a surprise gift for someone special.  Such a pretty combination and the Cake Angels had great fun creating them for that special someone.

Pink Heart Cake

Pink Hearts were the order of the day for this lovely young lady who was celebrating her 19th Birthday.  Luscious Lemon was the flavour and we are told that she was so delighted with her Cake that she didn't want to cut it, wishing she could put it in a glass case and look at it forever.  Such lovely compliments for the Cake Angels.

Macaroons ... Macarons

Macaroons or Macarons - however you choose to spell the name, there is one thing for sure, these marvellous little morsels are a taste of heaven.  Everyone is talking about them, so at Cake Angels, we decided to put on our aprons and start Macarooning.


We took our first trial run of Macarons straight out to our Cake Angels taste testers.  The results were unanimous - they melted in the mouth, tasted even better than they looked (is that possible??) and were better than any shop bought ones that our self-proclaimed Macaron addicts had ever tasted.

So understandably we were delighted with the results of our first Macaron attempt and thought we'd share our experience (and, of course, our yummy pictures) with you.
